The Augustine Band of Cahuilla Indians and the Climate Science Alliance are proud to announce the newest Climate Kids Hub hosting five Climate Kids Traveling Trunks! This location includes the following trunks:
Climate Science and Pollinators
Climate Science and Oceans
Climate Science and Carnivores
Climate Science and the Atmospheric Chemistry
Climate Science and Food Systems
Traveling Trunks at the Augustine Hub are available for check out by both Tribal and non-Tribal educators. The Hub also features Book Club sets and Explorer Backpacks. To reserve these materials, reach out to the Temalpakh Farm Tribal Educator Adrienne Edmondson at aedmondson@temalpakhfarm.com.

What are the Traveling Trunks?
Each Trunk contains NGSS-aligned curricula that can be used and adapted for grade level K-12. Lessons utilize hands-on science, art, and storytelling activities containing real data on regional impacts. Traveling Trunks engage participants using a variety of learning styles, and include solutions-oriented approaches to learning about the science and impacts of climate change.
What other activities are available?
The Augustine Band of Cahuilla Indian will begin tours of their certified organic farm in March 2024. This tour will provide students with information on the Cahuilla Tribes and their farming process.
