This past fall, Climate Kids Mexico Project Manager, Anna Lucia López Avedoy, joined up with artist Ana Teresa Fernández and the children of EUNIME—a home for children and adolescents affected by HIV—in Playas de Tijuana for a special art experience that emphasizes growing awareness around climate change induced sea level rise.

On the Horizon is an artistic experience designed to connect local communities to the sea and moves them to an empathic and proactive approach to address rising sea levels.

In November 2021, Anna Lucia and Ana Teresa got together with the children of EUNIME to be part of On the Horizon. It was a special experience both for the children, and for Climate Kids Mexico to be part of this space. We are so honored to be part of such a wonderful experience and incredibly proud of the youth and their role as the leaders of today and tomorrow. See photos of the experience below, and learn more at On the Horizon.
