Climate Kids-Mexico Pasarela

Cabrillo’s Bioblitz on Saturday May, 21st held a special Binational Event with Climate Kids-Mexico. Ambassadors from Centro de Bachillerato Tecnologico industrial y de servicios 155, located in Valle del Rubi, delegacion San Antonio de los Buenos, Tijuana, Baja showed off their recycled and homemade outfits themed around the monarch butterfly in a beautiful Pasarela.

Climate Kids-Mexico is a collaborative partnership with Profesora Martha Aidé Escalante Garcia, Profesora Escalante has been working with the Climate Science Alliance since 2015 and has developed a unique approach to training high school students to deliver the Climate Kids program in elementary and middle school classes in Tijuana, Baja Mexico. Since the program started Climate Kids-Mexico has reached more than 5,000 students and the Climate Kids-Tijuana project has reached over 1500 of those students student with climate change stories, science, and art.
