Climate Kids Teams Up with Planet Pala at Pala Pop-Up

Climate Kids was excited to join forces with Planet Pala to connect with the community of the Pala Band of Mission Indians at the Spring Pala Pop-Up.



Climate Kids was excited to join forces with Planet Pala to connect with the community of the Pala Band of Mission Indians at the Spring Pala Pop-Up. Climate Science Alliance team members Ana Lutz-Johnson and Alex Warneke provided hands-on activities for Tribal youth including Climate Kids Bingo, Climate Kids Scavenger Hunts, and Colors of Conservation Coloring Books. Youth and community members enjoyed learning about local species that are being impacted by climate change and different actions they could take to help protect them. All of these activities and more can be found for free on the Climate Kids Connects website.


Planet Pala and our partners at SDG&E provided the community with DIY green cleaning supply kits and trees to take home and plant in their yards. To learn more about Planet Pala and their work with Pala youth, please visit: http://ped.palatribe.com/planet-pala/.
