On November 7, 2019 the Climate Science Alliance was excited to connect with over 300 San Diego educators at the San Diego Natural History Museum’s 2019 Educator Night. With our partners at the NAT we helped highlight the Climate Kid’s Traveling Trunk program - now a part of the Loan to You Program!

The trunks, covering the topics of Oceans, Carnivores, and Pollinators, can now be checked out of the Loan to You Program along with many other helpful educational resources such as preserved museum specimens. Climate Kids Traveling Trunks provide resources educators need to teach climate science in the classroom. Each trunk includes background information, lesson plans, powerpoints, activities, and materials to increase climate literacy for K-12th grade youth. Climate Kids trunks feature interactive and hands on science, storytelling and art curriculum aligned to Next Generation Science Standards. The Traveling Trunks book up quickly, so reserve yours today!

With a Loan to You Membership, the trunks can be checked out for a period of two weeks at a time and picked up from our partners at the San Diego Natural History Museum's Nature to You Loan Program. If membership is prohibitive for any Alliance Members to utilize this resource, please contact us at info@climatesciencealliance.org
